Harald Rasmussen

Founder / Ceo

Mr. Rasmussen is the Founder & Ceo. He spent over 30 years in commercial banking, specifically focused on the innovation sector. Mr. Rasmussen has worked closely with Canadian and US-based VC firms and growth equity firms, while actively supporting tech and life sciences/healthcare companies ranging from seed-stage companies to large private companies and public companies. Mr. Rasmusssen holds a BA in English and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In his spare time, he loves fishing, SCUBA diving, and just about anything in the great outdoors.

Daniel is the Director and has been involved in all phases of Rasmussen's development since its founding. In addition, he is responsible for all aspects of the firm’s operations and investment activities. Prior to starting Rasmussen Management Danile worked at Hana Financial Group’s Los Angeles Office and focused primarily on the firm’s financing and syndication activities.

Daniel holds a B.A. degree from University of California, Berkeley and Masters of Public Policy from University of Southern California.

Director

Jessica is the Managing Partner of Rasmussen where she is responsible for all aspects of the firm’s operations and investment activities. Before joining RM, Jessica worked at H.I.G. Capital, a leading global alternative investment firm, where she evaluated and executed private equity investments across a variety of industries. Prior to H.I.G., she worked in investment banking at Macquarie Capital’s Financial Sponsors and Debt Capital Markets Group.

Jessica holds a dual B.S. degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering and Economics from Duke University and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Christopher Wallace

Christopher has over 12 years’ experience in private equity, M&A advisory and accounting. Christopher joined Rasmussen in 2009 and assists with the evaluation and execution of potential investments and the monitoring and support of portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Rasmussen Christopher worked at PwC Melbourne as a Manager in the Consulting & Deals Group where he provided M&A advisory services to a wide variety of clients. James is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Melbourne

Michael Shah

Mr. Shah brings a strong background in venture capital and private equity. His educational background is in economics and business, acquired at the Brigham Young University. He is a seasoned financial services executive with over 10 years of senior level management experience shared between the asset finance sector and corporate turnaround and growth consulting.

Mr. Shah is responsible for leading all valuation business development initiatives, including a regional team of business development officers, for Rasmussen. In addition, he works closely with asset-based lenders, private equity sponsors and corporate management teams to help them understand the underlying value of all types of assets.

Mr. Shah is also is responsible for identifying potential partnerships, industry analysis and company specific due diligence. He has been involved with supporting acquisitions, private financings, and public listings.

Richard is a Senior Portfolio Advisor. Prior to joining Rasmussen, Richard was a Financial Research Analyst at Sustainable Development Technology Canada, where he supported investment due diligence into cleantech startups and developed forecasts for commodities and other economic factors.

Richard holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Economics from the University of Toronto and is currently completing his Master of Financial Economics at Western University.

Mark has over 10 years’ experience in M&A advisory and accounting. Mark joined Rasmussen in 2010 and assists with the evaluation and execution of potential investments and the monitoring and support of portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Rasmussen Mark worked at PwC Canada and America as a Manager in Transaction Services where he provided M&A advisory services to a wide variety of clients. Mark is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Finance and Diploma in Accounting from the University of Hawaii.

Geoffrey has over 15 years experience in the Finance industry Prior to joining Rasmussen Geoffrey was a Senior Associate for Baring Private Equity Asia in Tokyo. While at Baring Geoffrey served clients in the technology, financial services, retail & consumer, healthcare, industrial goods, and media & entertainment industries.

His consulting experience includes private equity due diligence, M&A, corporate strategy, sales strategy, customer retention, market and competitive analysis. Geoffrey graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and finance

Prior to joining Rasmussen Veronica was a Senior Manager in KPMG’s Financial Institution and Real Estate Practice. She primarily focused on the audit of private equity, hedge funds, pensions, and asset management clients.

Veronica graduated from the University of Western Ontario, where she earned a Bachelor's in Business Administration and Accounting.
